I t is particularly important to consider the risks in overseas projects from the national/regional macroeconomic and political standpoints,simply because these risks are unfamiliar compared with those of the domestic environment ,and they are significant ,particularly for large project. For example ,project funding and cost escalation for large overseas projects are commonly linked with the macroeconomic factors of the host country,such as fluctuations in inflation ,interest and currency exchange rates ,and the compatible regulations and standards for architectural design and construction are more apparent in European Union .
