It is the five days since the doctor operated on me. I’m going home tomorrow. Before I say goodbye to the doctor and nurses, I’d like to tell you how I had my operation( 手术 ). I was put to the operating table on the morning of April 17. You can imagine( 想象 )how nervous( 紧张的) I was. One of the nurses told me not to worry about it. She said to me, “Don’t be afraid of the operation. Take it easy.” After he had got everything ready, the smiling doctor began to give me an operation. Time passed very slowly .I could not help asking, “How long will the operation last?” Then the doctor said, “It will be over in five minutes.” I waited and waited while I was thinking about what would happen. The great moment came. The doctor said in a low voice, “It’s over now. You’re a nice child. You may go home in five or six days if everything is OK.” It was hard for me to pass the first and second days. I ate little. I felt so tired that I only wanted to sleep. But I am much better now. Last night I ate a big piece of cake. I wanted to eat more, but Mother wouldn’t let me do so.
