The Hongkong-zhuhai-macao(港珠澳大桥)Bridge is a Bridge and tunnel linking Hong Kong, Zhuhai and Macao in China. Construction of the Hong kong-zhuhai-macao Bridge commenced on 15 December 2009; the main works of the hongkong-zhuhai-macao bridge was completed on July 7, 2017. The main body of the Hongkong-zhuhai-macao Bridge completed the acceptance inspection on February 6, 2018, and the joint trial operation of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao will start from September 28, 2018. The Hongkong-zhuhai-macao Bridge starts from the Hong Kong port artificial island near the Hong Kong international airport in the east and connects Zhuhai and Macao artificial islands in the west across the waters at lingdingyang. The total length of the tunnel is 55 kilometers, including 29.6 kilometers of the main bridge, 41.6 kilometers from Hong Kong port to Zhuhai-Macao port. The bridge deck is a two-way six-lane expressway with a design speed of 100 km/h. The total investment of the project is 126.9 billion yuan. The bridge will not only be a transport link. It will be a social, economic, cultural, and tourism connection among the three areas.
