Culture are , therefore, collective social phenomena that embody people’s responses to the uncertainties and chaos that are inevitable in human experience. These cultural responses fall into two major categories. First is the essence of a culture-shared, emotionally charged systems of value, beliefs and basic assumptions which are expressed in basic cultural characteristics. The second is cultural forms----observable behaviors and material objects through which members of a culture express, affirm and communicate the essence of the culture to one another. Out of these processes cultures makes themselves, grow and re-make themselves. Since culture is about people, their beliefs and their behavior, culture is a highly important consideration in successful business communications. Operations in a foreign country will mean that customers, employees and business partners will, between them, share a culture that may differ widely from what is understood and lived by the customers, employees and business partners in the organization’s country of origin. Sensitivity to and an understanding of how things works in a context different from one’s won are essential to communication that get results. A company might choose to move its manufacturing division to another country for the practical reason that it may be able to reduce labour and overhead costs._____________2__________ For example, to employees in the home country who lose their jobs the company is communicating that it is uncaring and disloyal. To interest groups who protect against the exploitation of cheap labor abroad, the company is taking positive action to maximize their returns.
