On June 12th, 2005, Steve Jobs, who never graduated from college, gave a commencement speech to the graduates of Standford University. In his speech, Jobs told the students, "You've got to find what you love." Jobs said that he was lucky to find what he really loved to do early in life. He shared with the students how he started his business in the garage when he was 20, how his small business grew into a US$2 billion company with over 4,000 employees in 10 years, and how he got fired from the company he started. After getting fired, he admitted, he was at a loss for a few months. But he then decided to start over because he realized that he still loved what he did. Being a beginner again, Jobs entered one of the most creative periods of his life. He did a great job again, but in a different area this time. Afterwards, he was invited to return to Apple. Jobs said the only thing that kept him going was that he loved what he did, so "You've got to find what you love". Since work is going to fill a large part of life, it is important to love waht you do, so that you can be truly satisfied with what you do. He encouraged the students, "If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. Keep looking until you find it. Don't settle."
