A new report says the number of international students coming to American colleges and universities fell last year, for the 1.________ straight year. The report, from the Institute of International Education, found that the number of 2.________ admitted foreign students dropped by 1 percent in the autumn of 2018, 3.________ to the year before. This follows decreases of 7 percent and 3 percent in the two years before that. Those were the first drops in attendance in more than 10 years. Some colleges and universities have noted major decreases in Chinese students signing up for classes. At the University of Alabama, the number of Chinese students has dropped by 8.________ over the past two years.
