M—— What are you going to do this bank holiday, Brenda? W—— We're going to Bath for three days. M—— That' s nice. I love Bath, and at Easter time, it's not too crowded with foreign tourists. W—— Yes, that's what I thought. In summer, it's best to go somewhere less famous, just into the countryside and stay at a small B&B somewhere. M—— Where are you going to stay in Bath? W—— We' re going to stay near my friend's house in a pub called The George. M—— In the centre? W—— No, in a village just outside the city centre next to a beautiful canal. It does B&B and so it is quite cheap. M—— How will you get there? By bus? W—— We were going to, but we decided to rent a car instead because it' s cheaper for four people. Also, it's easier to go sightseeing around the city. M—— Yes, a rental sounds like a good idea. When will you come back? W—— Monday afternoon. If we leave in the evening, the traffic may be bad. Have you got any plans for the holiday, Alan? M—— Yes, we' ll take a boat trip along the Thames. W—— That sounds great. How long for? M—— I' m taking extra two days off work, so altogether five days. We' ll go early on Saturday. W—— And where will you stay? M—— On the boat, of course. It's a self-catering holiday. W—— You' ve got to do all the cooking by yourself? That doesn't sound like a holiday to me!
