Shortlanded Cargo when a cargo cannot be traced elsewhere,please send to the Rickmers Line the following documents. 1 、 Certificate of Shortage 2 、 Original Invoice or photocopy of same 3 、 Packing list 4 、 Claimant ’ s Debit Note in duplicate There documents will be submitted by us to our P&I Club representatives for their approval or rejection. Kindly effect payment only after receipt of our approval. After settlement you will send us one Claimant ’ s Receipt. Damage Cargo The question of claim on damaged cargo should as far as be taken up with the claimant at port of discharge. In case where ship ’ s liability is doubtful or even obvious you will proceed as in the case of shortlanded cargo with the exception that instead of sending us the Certificate of Shortage, you will forward to a Certificate of Damage.
