Good morning, America. Congratulations to all the young people across this country who are 1 the college this fall, particularly those of you who are the first in your families to 2 your higher education. I am so proud of you because as a 3 college graduate myself, I know it is not easy to get to this point. Back when I first arrived at college I had plenty of moments of 4 . I struggle to find my community, choose my classes, I didn't even know 5 to put on my bed. But before long I started to 6 . I discovered subjects I was 7 , I make friends I loved and I want to have the career that I 8 in public service and as you prepare to start your own college, I want to give you a few pieces of advice. First, 9 . The mission committee saw something special in you and they were confident that you could succeed. That's why they accept you. So don't waste any time 10 whether you belong, instead, put that energy in the work and hard and learning. Learn as much as you can. Second, 11 . These years are a precious opportunity to discover who you are and what you love doing. So be brave take some risks make some mistakes and then learn from them. Third, 12 . Find the community to support you. Find professors to 13 you and don't ever be afraid to seek out. deans, counselors, tutors, RAs. And ask for help when you need it. That's their job, that's why they’re there. They are there to help you. Finally, 14 . People who are 15 you on every step of the way and I want you to know that the Barack and I are proud of all of you, and we can't wait to see everything you go on to achieve.
